We'd like to invite you to be our guests!
A note from Joe and Melody:
"Come stay at our Bunk and Chow, spend some time with us and the horses, or just come sit around the campfire and visit. The Exodus Ranch is just a fun, relaxing place to be and it is our goal to provide you with a fun and special experience, no matter what brings you here. We've lived all over the United States and we've settled down in beautiful Douglasville to be close to our first grand baby. We're parents to 4 children, living in Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio and we love having friends and family visit here with us on the ranch.
"We opened the Overnight Bunk & Chow to provide a place to stay for people and horses. We've traveled all over the country and we know how it is. We rarely could find a place to stay that could accommodate us and also had adequate facilities for our horses. Once we settled here at The Exodus Ranch, our mission was to open up this beautiful place to anyone traveling through, and to provide the perfect place to stay if you have horses with you.
"So, whether you are traveling with horses, alone, or with family, come by the ranch for a visit, and feel free to stay awhile if the mood strikes you. The gate's always open, and we'd love to have you."
Joe Pratt is originally from De Smet, South Dakota. He has been starting colts and training timed event horses for twenty-five plus years.
Joe utilizes training techniques that he's refined over the years through both his hands on experience and his work with other top trainers. Joe's philosophy is that training horses is a continual learning process and to be a good trainer is to, no matter how many horses you've trained, always be open to learn new things as each horse brings a unique challenge.
Joe's favorite disciplines are barrels, roping and working cow horses. He trains all of his own horses and enjoys trail riding all over the country. Joe is also the President of Joe Wrangler Trucking Inc.
Come join us around the fire. We saved a seat for you!
